The last few days at work have been a bit wierd. I have been working long non-closing shifts – very non-ICP! We are apparently very short of CMs in BTM so we are being scheduled a little strangely – I am on 6 days for one week.

The last few days have seen an Alpha call to station while I was in tower which was really interesting since I got to call 911 – an experience that was a little strange. I am also a lot more comfortable with tower this week.

I had a little wobble yesterday where I thought I might want to leave due to various issues at work but one of my managers, JD, reminded me that I have worked 5 weeks at the only roller coaster at the busiest theme park in the world and however bad it gets is it really worth throwing everything away for just 3 more weeks.

Yesterday was one of those days when everything went wrong. Work was just a bad day – bad guests, bad managers, bad CMs. I even had a guest get really mad with me and get right up in my face because he left his sunglasses on the ride – I did my best to find them for him but they really were not there! Even when we went to McD’s in the evening we got there too late and it was closed. I even went to a vending machine at the Premium Outlets to get water and it stole my money! According to Kev we did reach a turning point when the next vending machine gave me a bottle!

Last night I went to Paradiso 37 with Kev and a bunch of GMR people – it was much fun although we did not get there until just before 11 so we kind of annoyed them since they stop serving food at 11 – woops! I was also a little warm since I had basically run from my shift at MK!

Today was one of my managers’ last day in the area. Jack is going back to AdLib tomorrow. He will be missed – he is a lot of fun. I will definitely be popping into the Jungle Cruise to say hi!

This morning was spent around Chatham doing laundry where I managed to shrink a load of T-shirts thanks to the ‘wonderful’ facilities available! I also had to head to work really early due to the crazy bus schedule around 4pm although I did bump into Michelle on the bus and we chatted and sat in the Mousketeeria together until we both had to head up to Thunder.

Today was the last day of ENCORE which Louisa was in and it was also studios cast appreciation evening with Tower and Coaster with the lights on – both were around 8pm. I asked for an ER but never really expected it and it was of course denied. Apparently there is going to be an ENCORE dvd and I have done Coaster and Tower with the lights on before so I guess I did not miss much but it still feels like rotten luck.

Work today was nothing special. I did a lot of different positions with a nice long stint in tower and I finished the night at return which was fun since I got to watch Wishes and it was pretty quiet. I did have a few guests have a go at me but I have got to the point now where I no longer take it personally and I can move on once they have left.
