Single Figures!!

This week has been all about the Disney ICP (and sleeping (!) but mostly about the ICP :-p). I decided that we had reached the point to pay my PAF – I got my confirmation reply – I am definitely going!

I decided that since I have not yet managed to find out where I am working that I would hedge my bets and go and buy some work shoes. After 2 trips to the shopping centre and an epic few hours spent shopping I finally managed to buy a pair of boots (lets just hope I get the position now…).

After last year I decided I was definitely pre-booking a Mears Shuttle again this year – a few other people on my flight are doing the same so with a bit of luck travel through OIA should be relatively smooth.

My to-do list is still crazily long but I still have a week…

The excitement is really building now and the news from the people already out there just adds to the impatience.

2 weeks today I leave this rain-soaked country and jet off to the Orlando sunshine (and torrential rain!).

My to-do list is a million pages long. I have put off everything that I have needed to sort out and thus this week I have a tonne of things to do. Got an email confirming my flights today, submitted all my pre-departure information to BA and got my travel insurance confirmation certificate. Still to-do: Sort out a SIM card, PAF, oh and get packing!

Loads of people have been asking me where I want to live and where I want to work. I have put a lot of thought into it. In terms of housing I would really like Chatham or Patterson, a few of my friends are already in Patterson and I loved Chatham last time although to be honest I am not that fussed as long as I get some nice roommates. My choice of work location has been on my mind for ages and like I said last time I sent an email asking for a specific location. I am currently using all the resources at my disposal to try and find out whether I have got the location that I want, with a bit of luck I will find out this weekend or early next week. I am really hoping for a great location this year, last year was a lot of fun but not my ideal choice. Putting in a specific request this year will hopefully have heightened my chances of getting what I would like but we shall see.

I have found a few more people on my flight, hopefully we can sort out sitting together on the plane, it does make the 9 hour flight go a little faster if you have somebody to chat to. Anyone going on June 21st on the BA flight should join the facebook group here. That way we can sort it all out…

I am getting so excited now, quite a lot to do in the next couple of weeks but I am nearly there now. It really doesn’t feel like a year since I did this last.
