I thought I would put this together after a lot of people asked me what they need to pack. I may well have forgotten something – if so, post a comment and I will add it to the list. The list is mostly aimed at guys as that is what I know about but it may be useful for girls who can follow the same general idea.

This what I am taking this year:

Hand Luggage

• Passport with Visa Stamp

• Confirmation of Travel Insurance
• Photocopies of Passport and Visa
• PAF confirmation
• Flight Ticket/Confirmation
• Mears Shuttle Confirmation
• Disney Congratulations pack stuff from Yummy Jobs
• US SIM Card (I have always used these guys)
• Laptop
• Camera
• Power Adapter (UK to US)
• Ethernet Cable (Like This One)
• iPod
• Phone Charger
• ***PENS*** – These are so useful for filling out landing cards and stuff on the plane – Have lots, share them about, make friends, most people forget!
• Sunglasses
• Cash/Travel Cheques
• Debit/Credit Cards
• Travel Alarm Clock (I have this one: This One)
• My favourite book about the college program – its not all true but it is a fun read…

• Underwear
• Socks – Black and White – Different work locations have different requirements
• T-Shirts

• Swimming Trunks
• Smart Clothes for Traditions – Smart Trousers, Shirt, Tie
• Sandals/Flip-Flops
• Warm Jumper/Hoody – it does get a bit chilly in the A/C

• Combination Padlock for locker

• Bite relief spray – I got loads of insect bites last year

• Medication – Don’t forget stuff like Paracetemol, it can end up being really expensive if you buy it out there
